Tuition and Expenses
Tuition for our 5773/2012-2013 Year-long program (September-June) is $9,500. This includes all courses, activities, trips, Shabbatonim, and daily lunches.
Students are highly encouraged to live in the Shirat Devorah Dorm. Rent is $350 per month, which comes to $3500 for the school year. This includes all utilities, excluding phone. Space is limited and is available on a first come basis.
Shirat Devorah is selective in accepting applicants. Upon acceptance to Shirat Devorah, each prospective student is required to give a non-refundable $500 deposit to reserve her a spot in the program.
Tuition is due in two payments – payment of half the fee is due on the 5th of Elul and the balance of payment is due by the first day of Chanukah. Payment may be made in US dollars or in other major currencies at the current exchange rates. Preferred methods of payment of tuition are cash, check, bank transfer, or credit card from our website . Should the need arise, an alternative payment schedule can be arranged with our Managing Director, Yehoshua Looks.
Students should expect to also have personal expenses such as: books and learning supplies, going to the laundromat, cell phone rental, health insurance, toiletries, groceries, personal travel, etc.
Students are required to get health ($1/day) and personal property ($100/year) insurance via our provider, Egert and Cohen.
